Three Days and Counting – 33rd Annual Pecan Festival
There is a flurry of activity as final preparations are being made for this year’s Pecan Festival. In addition to the wonderful food, great shopping, craft and flea market vendors, activities, contests, and parade, you need to see the unbelievable changes to downtown Brunswick. There is never a dull moment in this feisty little town of 857 residents.
The bricklayers have been working overtime and the beautiful brick front of the Sew Sweet Quilt Shop Retreat Center is now complete. It looks spectacular!
Thanks to the Pecan Festival committee for all their hard work to enclose the community center, putting on a new roof, and painting. It looks great!
Last but not least, the World’s Largest Pecan has been washed, painted, and is getting the finishing touches for the big weekend. The area is now landscaped and lighting has been added for the famous pecan. Thank you, Bill Jackson and all who had a part in the project making this dream come true!
