The Missouri Highway 36 Quilt Trail announces an annual theme that embraces the cultural heritage of northern Missouri. Participants can visit over 15 quilt shops along the trail and get assistance in selecting fabrics and cutting blocks; some shops offer purchase specialty-designed block kits that respond to the theme.
All shops in the Highway 36 Quilt Trail are located within 36 miles north and south of US Highway 36, running the length of ‘The Way of American Genius’.
Running east to west from Hannibal to St. Joseph, the historic route celebrates prominent Missourians, such as Mark Twain, Walt Disney, and General John J. Pershing.

During the course of the annual Ozark Quilting Trail, participating quilt shops in the vicinity of Missouri Highway 50 offer a unique quilt block kit over a four-month period.
